When and where is DIC5?
The conference will be held June 22 –26, 2026, at California State University, Northridge (CSUN).
What is DIC5?
DIC5 is the 5th Deaf Interpreter Conference, a professional gathering created by and for Deaf Interpreters. The conference provides a unique space to celebrate Deaf identity, culture, and community while offering workshops, networking, and professional development opportunities.
Who can attend DIC5?
DIC5 is primarily designed for Deaf Interpreters, but we also welcome Deaf educators, stakeholders, agency owners, and other professionals who work closely within the Deaf interpreting community. The conference is a unique space to celebrate and center Deaf identity, culture, and professional engagement.
Is this event only for certified interpreters?
While certification is not required, all attendees must be Deaf and work in or study interpreting or related fields.

What if I only plan to attend and present for one day, do I still need to register?
Yes. If you intend to attend the conference for one day, you will need to purchase a Day Pass. After that is completed, you may proceed with submitting a presenter application.
Can I bring pets to the apartment?
Pets and emotional support animals are NOT allowed.
When should I arrive and leave by?
The official conference will begin on June 22, 2026 at 12:00 PM and conclude on June 26, 2026 at 2:00 PM.
