• Educators, researchers, and community specialists
  

DIC5 strongly encourages proposals from BIPOC, DeafBlind, LGBTQIA+, and global presenters.

All interested applicants can apply first before registering for the conference. If you plan to attend the full conference, we encourage you to register now to secure your spot.

Presenter applicants must submit the following:

• Completed online registration form

• Completed online presenter application form

• 1-minute introduction video in sign language (YouTube link, set as unlisted)

• Workshop title and description

• Learning objectives (3–4)

• Presenter bio

• Access considerations (e.g., DeafBlind inclusion, language needs)

Presenter coverage may include:

• Travel support (airfare or mileage)

• Lodging at CSDR (4-Nights)

• CEU processing support

• Presentation Fees
  

Final compensation details will be confirmed after presenter selection.

Yes. Sessions are reviewed for RID CEU eligibility. Presenters may be asked to provide:

• Learning objectives

• Agenda/outline

• References/resources

• Bio and credential details
  

Presenters can earn CEUs for presenting their workshop only on their FIRST time they present that specific topic. It is important to include your RID member number in the application.I thin

The Deaf Interpreter Conference 5 (DIC5) invites presentations connected to the following themes:

Ethics, Community & Identity, Language & Culture, Policy & Advocacy, Global Collaboration, Technology & Future, DeafBlind Access, Mentorship, Interpreter Education, and Self Care

DIC5 is a Deaf-led, sign-language-centered environment.

Primary languages include:

• American Sign Language (ASL)

• International Sign (IS)
  

Additional sign languages (LSQ, LSM, etc.) may be incorporated based on accepted presenters.
