Interpreting

.15 CEU

(PS)

Interpreting and translating under time pressure requires rapid comprehension, accurate analysis, and clear reformulation of meaning across languages. This workshop focuses on developing these core skills by engaging participants in practical, task-based activities. Participants will identify intrusions and interference in selected sample sentences, analyse how meaning is constructed in the source language, and apply effective strategies to reformulate messages in the target language. Emphasis is placed on maintaining accuracy while ensuring clarity and natural delivery for the intended audience. Through guided practice, participants will strengthen their ability to process information quickly and produce translations that are both precise and accessible. By the end of the session, they will be better equipped to communicate meaning confidently and support audience understanding in real-time interpreting and translation contexts.
